Overview

At Fidelis Cybersecurity, Inc. our mission is to protect the world’s most sensitive data by equipping organizations to detect, investigate and stop advanced cyber-attacks.

Attackers are relentless and clever. They hide their exploits deep inside networks, email and endpoints. Fidelis digs as deep as attackers hide. With Fidelis, customers will know when they are being attacked, and they can retrace attackers’ steps and freeze them in their tracks.

We don’t just read the headlines at Fidelis. We live them. Our elite team of incident responders is in the trenches every day assisting customers to manage their way through critical security incidents of all kinds. This seat on the front lines gives us a unique view to see what works and what doesn’t when it comes to keeping attackers at bay.

Take a seat with our preeminent team and be a part of our mission to give our customers the power to combat today’s sophisticated advanced threats with a robust, comprehensive portfolio of products, services, and expertise.

Responsibilities

The Data Science team at Fidelis Cybersecurity is operating at the confluence of two exciting fields in the world of high tech: Cybersecurity and Data Science. Our mission is to outmaneuver and outfight cyber attackers at every step to keep our customer’s business operations and data safe. If you love deriving insights from data and also want your work to be meaningful, in the grand scheme of things, then the Fidelis Data Science team is the right place for you.

As a Data Science Manager at Fidelis, you’ll be leading a team that is building the next generation of Machine Learning based features for the Fidelis Elevate platform. The ability to scope projects, quickly identify and resolve blockers, dead-end paths or technical gaps are key skills you will need to demonstrate. Communication is important as you gather requirements, collaborate with threat researchers and plan for the transition of models to our engineering team.

What you will do:

  • Be a “hands-on” manager that is able to (and enjoys) taking on research and development tasks as time permits.
  • Mentor data scientists to improve their technical and leadership skills.
  • Communicate with CTO, VP Engineering and other product owners to understand their requirements and ensure data science solutions meet their needs.
  • Refine unclear objectives and requirements into a concrete research plan. Manage the day-to-day execution of the plan.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure that data needs can be planned for and transition of models to production goes smoothly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our existing processes and workflow.
  • Share our team’s findings with customers, as well as the security and ML community through external publications, presentations and blogs.

  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to speak effectively with diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain ML models that are deployed in production for customer-facing products.
  • Proficient using Python, R, Scala or equivalent statistics and machine learning tools.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine learning applications in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy or similar packages.
